UNFORTUNATELY WE WON'T BE RUNNING OPEN WATER SWIMMING AT RAGLEY IN 2021.
Open Water Swimming starts Tuesday 4th June 2019
We are proud to operate open water swimming at Ragley Hall in conjunction with Great Swim Local. This innovative system not only improves our safety systems on site, but also enables you to get chip timing each time you swim.
We are in a fortunate position to be able to offer this open water swimming with support from the Ragley Hall estate. As such please can all swimmers adhere to the following rules so we can continue to enjoy the facility we have.
- When on the Ragley estate stick to the 20mph speed limit
- No dogs allowed on the estate
- No ball games or picnics away from the fenced lake house area
- The adventure playground is out of bounds
Upon arrival please report to the boathouse to pay your entrance fee. When you are ready to enter the water, please ensure the spotter scans you in using your wristband. When you leave the water you will get scanned out and your time will then appear on the Great Swim Local website in due course.
Bright coloured swim hats must be worn at all times when in the lake.
Wetsuits
As we are insured by the BTF we have to abide by their rules regarding the wearing of wetsuits. That means no swimming in temperatures lower than 11 degrees, wetsuits must be worn if the water is less than 14 degrees, over 14 degrees then its up to you.
We must stick to these rules otherwise we would risk losing our cover and no cover = no swim sessions.
Changing rooms and toilets are available however there are no showers onsite.
